About Me

Welcome to Petite Pragmatist!

My name is Phyllis Lee, a Swarthmore College alumna currently working in investment banking in NYC.

I started blogging in May 2015 because I wanted a creative outlet for all the things I love, especially fashion and food, and a space where I could document lessons and discoveries that helped me grow personally and professionally.

The initial purpose of this blog was to share my knowledge to help other budding young professionals, especially those from non-target schools, with networking, recruiting, and interview preparation, but I find that this is also an opportunity to write about my experiences as a young woman standing at 5'1 (155cm) who is navigating her way through life, New York City and Wall Street.

Prior to investment banking, I worked as a consultant, primarily focused on M&A strategy and operations. During my time at Swarthmore, I was able to garner diverse experiences in the financial services industry, particularly in asset management and corporate strategy.

I hope you enjoy this blog! If there are any questions or topics you would like for me to cover, always feel free to leave a comment and I will try my best to answer them. Thank you for stopping by.
