My Fitness Guide

As most people in my social circle know, I embarked on a fitness journey in winter 2018, right after Thanksgiving to be exact. I am happy to say that I have made it through a year and feel like I am in a "steady state" in terms of my health and weight, so I thought it would be helpful to discuss my key takeaways on motivation mentality, diet and workout routine.

25, Let's Get It

Dress: Club Monaco (old) | Purse: Chanel
Watch: Cartier | Shoes: Stuart Weitzman

I celebrated my 25th birthday this Saturday, October 5th.

25 is the age that always felt so far away, but it got here faster than I thought it would. There is nothing special about turning 25, but it feels like a milestone or a good number to measure how far I have come. It marks my 3rd year out of college and my 9th year of living by myself. As a kid, I imagined myself to be a fully capable and mature adult at 25, and I reflected to see whether I fulfilled that expectation.

10 Lessons from Year 2 in the Real World

Dress: Anthropologie (old, similar) | Purse: Goyard
Sunglasses: Prada | Necklace: Van Cleef & Arpels | Watch: Cartier

My second year in the real world is coming to an end, and I am about to start my third year of working. Last year I posted some lessons I learned, and I thought I would repeat it for my second anniversary. While some of the lessons below are not necessarily "new," they were ones that I felt were consistently being reinforced throughout the past year.

Balenciaga City Mini Review

Tee: Club Monaco | Jeans: Rag & Bone (old, similar) | Bag: Balenciaga
For my first bag review on my blog, I thought it would be fun to write about the Balenciaga City Mini, which I contemplated about getting for the longest time.

I had watched a ton of YouTube videos, consulted my fashionista friends and did research for months, and I finally purchased it this summer.

TL;DR: I love the bag and reach for it more often than I thought I would, even though I have some trouble being creative when styling it.

I'll keep this review short and simple: my purchasing thought process, what I like and don't like, and thoughts on styling.

Sunday Afternoon at Ralph's Coffee

Sunday Funday or Monday Eve?
Work has been piling up, but with the help of my interns, I got to take some time off to explore a coffee shop I have been wanting to visit for the longest time: Ralph's Coffee on the UES!

Purse: Balenciaga | Shoes: Kelsi Dagger

Emotional Exhaustion

Purse: Goyard | Necklace: Van Cleef & Arpels

Instead of doing another fashion post, I thought it would be good to write about a topic that I have often discussed with my friends and colleagues: emotional exhaustion.

Banking + Fitness Update: Why I Quit Keto

Dresses (left to right): Sandro, Theory, Elie Tahari
Shoes: Gianvito Rossi, Naturalizer | Purse: Celine

After posting about my exercise and diet routine last December, I thought it was time for an update, mostly to hold myself accountable. It's been about five months since I changed my approach towards health and fitness for the better, and I honestly could not be happier with the results. I have lost ALL the weight I had gained from consulting AND banking. I am eating as healthy as I can, exercising regularly and also taking time to relax and decompress after a stressful week. BUT I have made some adjustments to my routine that accommodate my lifestyle even better.
